I haven't been paying too close attention to the US Presidential race over the past few weeks - but you've got to hand it to John McCain: what an inspired choice of running mate!Who else would have pared up the inventor of the oven chip with one of TV and film's most likable funny men. With all those global travels behind him, Michael Palin's got all the foreign affairs expertise the ticket could ever need - and clearly can do all the walking that McCain seems unable to manage....In fact, have you ever seen a photo of McCain showing his legs?
I particularly like this one from his MySpace site showing just what every pensioner needs -colour-coded hats for the forgetful.........although I'm sure, John, that this one's royal blue not navy. Scarily, he looks remarkably like my Dad...!
